Joseph Abrams, 84, of 221 West Brown street, New Lexington, a retired employe of the Lempco Company, died at 5 a.m. Sunday in Good Samaritan Medical Center after a six-week illness.
He was born Feb. 14, 1891 in Jackson County.
Mr. Abrams was a member of New Lexington Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ruth Ann Starner; four daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Bond of New Lexington, Mrs. Audrey Price of New Straitsville, Mrs. Vina Potter of New Lexington and Mrs. Delmar (Eleanor) Harden of New Lexington Route 1; a son, Harold of Logan; a brother, Bud Abrams of New Lexington Route 1; 22 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chute-Wiley Funeral Home in New Lexington. Burial will be in New Lexington Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today. Eagles services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today
