Eugene "Gene" V. Fulford, 77, Cortez died Nov. 20, 1993.
He was born May 29, 1916 in Cortez. A retired commercial fisherman, he was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise, a daughter, Margaret Pippen of Jacksonville, Texas; two grandchildren, Clyde Jr. and Heather, both of Cortez; and one great-granddaughter, Jamae Ellis of Cortez.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm today at Brown & Sons Funeral home. Services will be at 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home and burial will be in Palmetto.
