Marshalls mother is Celia Mounts.She was actually one of many wifes of CAPTAIN Jefferson Hunt. He returned with the Mormons to Salt Lake City and later moved to Idaho where he died.She stayed behind with her children.

Married Jefferson 1 DEC 1823 in Albion,Edwards co., Illinois.They had 11 children together. Nancy Ann(Daley), Mary(Black),Parley, Joseph, Marshall, Gilbert, John,Harriet(Mayfield), Jane(Stoddard), Hyrum, and baby Jefferson who died in infancy.
