Neil Johnson was the Chief of Police in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. He served 3 years as Chief of Police, dying in the line of duty at age 48. Chief Johnson was responding to a domestic dispute complaint, where a man was demanding to see his family. When Chief Johnson arrived, the man shot him six times. As Chief Johnson lay on the ground, the man shot him one more time...in the head, killing him. The suspect was later apprehended, charged with first degree murder. Chief Johnson was survived by his wife and two sons.
