Beryl Ann Baker, passed away May 13, 2007 after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Howell Baker, and her parents, Burl M. and Emma Louise Willingham. Beryl is survived by three children: her oldest daughter, Janice Noah Barr; her son, Jay Howard, and his wife, Pam; her youngest daughter, Joyce Louise Baker Odell, and her husband, Mike.
Her four grandchildren also survive her: Shannan Noah Grimes, and her husband, Lee; Aimee Odell Hardesty, and her husband, Steven; Jason Ryan Howard and Emily Lauren Odell.
She was especially proud of her great-grandchildren, Hailee Victoria Grimes, Nathan Ivan Hardesty and Abbey Nicole Hardesty.
Beryl Ann was born June 19, 1929 in Pampa, Texas and was raised in Mesquite and Dallas.
She graduated from Sunset High School in 1946 and attended Arlington State College before marrying and raising her family.
She loved to travel and had visited and/or vacationed in most of the continental states and had also vacationed in Europe.
Her favorite destination was Las Vegas.
Memorial may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4086 Sandshell Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76137 or the Alzheimer's Association, 7610 N. Stemmons Fwy. Ste 600, Dallas, TX 75247-9952.
Funeral Service is 11:30 AM, Wed. May 16, 2007 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. Burial will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
