Funeral services for Seminole County native, Henry Luther Alexander, of Oklahoma City are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8 at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. A. Glen Woodberry, of the Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Oklahoma City officiating.

Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery of Wewoka under the direction of Myers Mortuary of Wewoka.

Alexander died April 2, 2004, at the age of 41 in a motorcycle/car accident in Oklahoma City.

He was born Feb. 20, 1963, in Wewoka as the seventh child to L.B Sr. and Gertie B. Alexander.

As a child, he attended New Hope Baptist Church in Wetumka.

He received his education in the Wewoka School System and lettered in basketball, football and track, graduating in 1981.

He attended El Reno Junior College where he earned an associate degree in business communications and played basketball, where he earned the nickname, "Luke."

Alexander continued to pursue his education at Concordia Lutheran College in Austin, Texas.

He became a member of the Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, as well as a member of the men's basketball league.

He worked for Fred Jones as an automobile assembly lineman for five years and was employed with Dayton Tire as an automobile quality technician.

He enjoyed sports and riding motorcycles as his hobbies.

His grandparents and one brother, Decovan, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his parents, L.B. and Gertie Alexander Sr., of Wewoka; three brothers, Saunders Alroy Alexander and L.B. Alexander Jr., both of Wewoka and Ivy Alexander of Tulsa; and three sisters, Vernonia "Pat" Kline of Washington, D.C., Rita Colbert of Edmond and Sametria Stevenson of Oklahoma City.
