FLOYDADA (Special) Services for G.W. Anderson, 95, of Floydada will be at 4 p.m. today at the Meridian First Baptist Church in Meridian with Rev. Richard Creech officiating.

Burial will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery near Meridian under direction of Lawson Funeral Home.

He died Friday, May 19, 2000, in Floydada.

He was born Oct. 9, 1904, in the Spring Creek community of Bosque County, where he was raised and educated in the Spring Creek school. He married Nettie Lee Barton on Dec. 16, 1934, in Fort Worth. For 19 years he worked for Texas Pacific Oil Company in Fort Worth in the sales and credit departments, and he later owned and operated a parking garage in Fort Worth for 27 years. He retired and moved to Meridian in 1983. He was a member of the Meridian First Baptist Church, the Spring Creek Cemetery Association and he was also a Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife; and two sons, Gayle and Keith.

Survivors include a granddaughter; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
