Note that if you cannot get in contact with Julie for a copy of her photo, I also have a photograph of the headstone.
Part of a cluster of Browns, including:
Elizabeth Tilley Howland (whose daughter Lydia married James Brown)
Lieutenant James Brown
Anna Brown (d. 2 Jan 1753)
Benjamin Brown (d. 13 Mar 1727)
Sarah Brown (d. 4 Jan 178)
Annarita Brown (d. 1 May 1794)
Sarah Brown (d. 9 June 1746)
Benjamin Brown (d. 29 Oct 1754)
And another grave marker for a woman, clustered between Browns that is broken and has had the top part removed. All that can be read is "of her Age. In her Character shone with luster, all the christian moral and social virtues."
There is also a Nathan Brown in a place apart from this cluster of Browns who is buried in the middle of Richmond graves. His grave is of the same design and language as this set of graves, even though the location is different.
