Mrs. Josephine Elliott, wife of Leslie Elliott, of this city, died at Passavant hospital in Jacksonville Wednesday evening, August 5, at 6:30. She was taken to the hospital last Friday evening, and death followed an operation.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Logan Elliott, of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Graham, of Jacksonville; two grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Allen Hiler, of Virden; a brother, Olin Hiler of Virden; and three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Garrass, of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Pearl Yetter, of Carthage, and Mrs. Lucy Jarrett, of Virden.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 this morning, Friday, at the First M. E. Church, and interment will be in East Cemetery.
