Thomas Bill Brown 80, Indianapolis, died peacefully on the afternoon of April 23, 2007. He was born in Indianapolis on March 24, 1927 the son of Thomas and May (Nye) Brown, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was a US Army veteran who served in Europe during World War II. Following his time in the military he went to work for Indiana Bell as a business repairman, and retired after 35 years. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty Brown; children, Mike Brown and Michele (Gil) Eggemeyer; stepchildren, Robert (Connie) Shinkle, Richard (Marge) Shinkle, Jean Smith, Michael Shinkle and David (Shawna) Shinkle; brothers, James, Lewis and Robert Brown; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.

Services were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan Funeral Center - Washington Park East of Indianapolis, Indiana.
