Trooper Wade was struck and killed by a vehicle during a traffic stop on Kennedy Highway near Havre de Grace, Maryland.
Trooper Wade had been with the Maryland State Police for just over two years.
The beloved son, Gary L. Wade was born on February 18, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland to Herman and Thelma Wade.
Gary graduated from Lake Clifton High School in 1974. After completing High School, Gary attended Morgan State University and graduated in May 1980. Gary was a member of the Alpha Iota Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated at the University. In October,1980 Gary joined the Maryland State Trooper Academy and Gary graduated on April 8,1981.
On January 30,1982 Gary was called into God Heavenly Home.
Gary leaves to cherish his loving memories: his parents- Mr. Herman and Mrs. Thelma Wade; two grandmothers: Elizabeth More of Baltimore and Mary Richardson of Huger, South Carolina; six sisters: Ruthalee Jackson, Beulah Maultsby, Linda Harvey, Darlene Wade, Theresa Wade and Michelle Wade; three brothers: Herman Wade,Jr., Joe Wade and Roy Wade, all of Baltimore, Maryland; three brothers-in-law, a beloved and devoted fiancee.
