William Walker Cravens (known as Walker) was the son of Sylvester and Angeline (Powell) Cravens. He married Sothronia Bryant. The April following his death, my mother was born to Joe and Viola Mae Bryant. Three of Joe's sons (Walker's nephews) from his first marriage to Mary Etter Cravens (Walker's sister) asked Joe to name the baby Walker. Not to disappoint his sons when the baby ended up being a girl, Joe agreed for Walker to be her middle name. Not until I started my genealogy research did I discover for whom my mom was named. It was this man, my grandfather's brother-in-law.

No headstone found. Dates are from his death certificate. He is listed as here in the Adair Co Cemetery Book #3. Also confirmed by his granddaughter, Louise (Bryant) Tiller, that this is where he is buried, but she knows it as Oak Grove Cemetery.
