Funeral Service Held For Russian Native
Frederick Ronald Adams of Scappoose died at the Crestview nursing home Feb. 16. He was born in Russia 93 years ago and came with his parents as a youth to the United States. His parents settled on a homestead in the Dutch canyon area of Scappoose.
On Nov. 13, 1889 in Klamath Falls he married Rosa Biehn. They lived in Klamath Falls for 13 years and then moved to Scappoose where Mr. Adams purchased the original homestead from his parents and farmed this land for 37 years. At that time he sold the farm and moved to a home closer to town. He then was employed as the Scappoose grade school janitor for approximately eight years and while employed there celebrated his 80th birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Adams had four children, Clyde of Tigard, Myrtle Callahan of Scappoose and Dollie Lamar and Alice Propst who are no longer living. They also have four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa, daughter Myrtle and son Clyde. Services were held at the Coleman funeral home February 19 with burial in the Fairview cemetery.

Correct name is Fredrick Reinhold (not Ronald).
