Professional Photographer July 1999, pg. 40:

"A note from the author... This article is dedicated to the memory of Milt Techner of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, who passed away in May after a short illness. Milt was a founder of the Guild of Professional Photographers of the Delaware Valley, and more recently, founder and director of the Mid-Atlantic Regional School, both PPA affiliates. Milt was a well-known business mentor in our industry, who always wore a smile and was a friend to all. I know he would tell us he had a great ride through life. When our time comes, as it must for all of us, we should be so lucky" - Author: John M. and Kathleen A. Frank, owner and operators, Creative Photographs, Ltd. in Medford, NJ.

Milt Techner was the Founder and Executive Director of the Mid-Atlantic Regional School of Professional Photography (M.A.R.S.) until his passing in 1999. Milt spent his lifetime of 69 years in the photographic profession. What was most remarkable about Milt was his enthusiasm and zest for life. His willingness to help others made him a mentor to many aspiring and experienced photographers in the Delaware Valley. His passionate devotion to projects and causes he believed in will not be forgotten. Milt was a special man and we want to remember and honor him with the Milt Techner Memorial Scholarship.
