Ollie P. Brandon was born of the late Mr. Samuel H. Brandon and Mrs. Virgie O. Wade-Brandon on December 3, 1923 in Halifax, Virginia. Ollie was the 4th of nine children. All of them have preceded him in death.
Ollie recived his formal education in Halifax, VA and in Baltimore Maryland. He served his country in US Navy and fought in World War II. He received his honorable discharge in 1946.
His employment ranged from construction, masonry, electrican as well as an Government employee. In 1958, He meet the love of his life Lillian. They were married in 1963. Out of this union 2 children were born Susie Marie and Jonah Wade. Mr. Brandon has another son from a previous relationship, Mr Ollie P. Toomer of Baltimore Md.

Mr. Brandon had several hobbies. He loved to fix electrical appliances, fans and air conditioners. He also love to read, cook and keep up with world news.
Mr. Brandon was very humble and devoted to his family and friends. He especially loved children , not just his own. His nicknames were Uncle Pemp and Pop-Pop. He always spoke of how family needed to stay close to one another. He instilled in not only his children and grandchildren but also his nieces,and nephews to always love and help each other as well as strangers. He will definitely be missed by all who's life's he has touched.
