On Monday, August 14, 2006 in Elizabethton, TN the Lord called Eva Arnette home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nath and Bonnie Chambers, a brother, J. B. Chambers, her husband, Ernie Tolley and her youngest daughter, Patsy Tolley Murphy. She leaves behind two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Jim Campbell and Shirley Campbell; one son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Jerilyn Tolley; eight grandchildren and spouses; Billy and Michelle Campbell, Melissa Whisenant, Angela and Mark Dalton, Candy Fulton, Cristy Murphy, Kelly Murphy, Cody Tolley and Jeara Hutchins; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kevin and Amber Campbell, Emily Whisenant, Joshua Fulton, Waylon and two-month old Nicholas Dalton; one brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Brenda Chambers; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Volena Woodby, Goldie and Ray Davis, Martha Cady, Barbara and Earl Lacey and Judy Smith. Many nephews and nieces also survive. Funeral service for Eva Arnette will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2006 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Sorah officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Williams, Cody Tolley, Billy Campbell, Mark Dalton, Jason Lacey, Barry Edney and Lynn Potter. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Kenny Hopland for his compassion and care and to the nursing staff at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
