E. B. (Eleazor Block) Barker was born January 25, 1835 in Bastrop County Texas to Jesse Barker (1791-1846) and Malinda Weeks(1812-1845).
E.B. was forced to grow up fast after the death of both parents early in his life. E.B. Barker one of the Pioneers of Rices Crossing about 1845 when it was still Milam County and the County became Williamson County in 1848. E.B. married Mary Elizabeth Harvey on February 2, 1857 in Williamson County.
