Catherine was the daughter of Philip and Catherine Kessinger Ensminger and wife of Henry Plott. She was born in Virginia. She married Henry in 1791 (marriage license on file)and they had five children: Nancy, Mary, Andrew, Henry and Simon. They migrated from near the Rockbridge, Virginia area to Salem, Indiana about 1835.

"In Memory of Henry Plott Died Aug 15, 1838 Aged 84 yrs and Catharine, wife of Henry Plott Died Sept. 10, 1849, Aged 95 yrs."
Gravesite Details
Catharine's time of death on marker is not correct as she was found to still be alive in the1850 census.
