Abraham Levi was born in Russia. He emigrated to Leeds, Yorkshire England with his family when he was eight years old and eventually served in the British Army. He was also an amateur actor and appeared in many plays in the Yorkshire Yiddish Theater.
Abraham married Rose in 1900 and they had six children. They eventually emigrated to the United States where they settled in Atlantic City, NJ and changed their name to Leon. They were married married for 59 years when Rose passed away.
Their Children were Nathan, Mary who died as a child, my grandfather Harry, Ralph, Herman, Edith and the last survivor, Henry, who just passed away at age 98.
