Ruth G. (Hutchinson) Hoak Dosch, 73, of Kittanning (Manor Township) died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 in Wickenburg Hospital, Wickenburg, Ariz.
She was born March 9, 1931 in Worthington to John and Margarett (James) Hutchinson.
Mrs. Dosch was a homemaker. She also worked at the Butler County Mushroom Mines and was a certified nurses assistant with the former Wesley Manor, Kittanning.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kittanning.
Her other memberships included the Order of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth, where she was a past royal matron.
She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends, dining out, playing cards and crafts.
Survivors include two sons, William Hoak of Kittanning and John Hoak and wife Margie Sweeney of Natrona Heights; three daughters, Connie Manson and husband Tom of Frederick, Md., Judy Slee and husband Samuel of Ford City and Brenda Shaeffer and husband Michael Jr. of Ford City; three stepdaughters, Patricia Anthony, Gloria Fennell and husband Roy and Alice Kunst and husband Barry, all of Kittanning; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her companion, Jim Frantz of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, William K. Hoak; her second husband, Paul "Pete" Dosch Jr., who died May 3, 1999; three brothers, Robert J., William M. and J. David Hutchinson; and one granddaughter, Courtney Hoak.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, Inc., 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Kittanning, with her pastor, the Rev. Carl A. Johnson, officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township.
