Allan Herbert Albers October 10, 1917 - February 25, 2007 Shriner. Master Mason. WWII RCAF Veteran. Yachtsman. Golfer. Insurance Engineer. Raconteur. A man who enjoyed "a little travelin' music". Boom man. Handsome SOB. Bike Racer. Milk Shake Enthusiast. Martini Maker. Cowboy. Equestrian. And most importantly, a husband, a son, a father, a grandfather, a friend In 1939 Allan "Met the most beautiful and wonderful blonde, and was in love at first sight, and never did lose my love for her" He married Dolores Brown on June 28, 1941 and for the next 60 years, until her passing, she would be his rock. Every man should be so lucky. Together they raised two beautiful daughters instilling in them a great sense of equity, decency, and passion for life. In 1980 Allan retired from Kemper Insurance after a successful, well- traveled, and fulfilling career as an Electrical and Fire Protection Engineer. But he did not retire from life, devoting the next 27 years to his family, boating, golfing, traveling, and recounting the posterity extraordinary details of his youth to his always eager to listen grandson. After losing his beloved wife, "Lol" in 2001, Allan was blessed to find Bonita Hubbard who was to be a loving companion and friend through the twilight. Allan is survived by his two daughters: Carolyn Kelley and Gail Ott; grandchildren, Ryan and Juliette Kelley; great grandson, Cody McLeod; and companion, Bonita Hubbard. There will be Visitation on Tuesday, March 6, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 12:00 noon at Beck's Funeral Home, 405 5th Avenue S, Edmonds, WA 98020, (425) 771-1234. Interment will follow at the Anderson Cemetery, Stanwood, WA.
