Betty died due to a lingering illness associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was under the care of family, friends, church members and Hands of Hope Hospice for several months.

She was born to Joseph Hyrum Bahr, Jr. and Mary Naef Fullmer Bahr. The family later moved to Tetonia, Idaho, where she attended schools, graduating from Teton High School in Driggs. After graduating from Teton High School, she worked at Gowen Field Air Force and Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph in Boise. She served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Northern States in 1946-1947.
She married Lavon R. Farmer November 5, 1947, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He preceded her in death May 26, 1996. She was a homemaker and mother.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the ward library, in genealogy extraction, in the Sunday School, Primary, Relief Society, and as a stake missionary. She enjoyed music, reading, quilting, crocheting, handwork and crafts. Betty loved spending time with her family, including her sisters-in-law and many dear cousins.

32 Grandchildren & 26 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lavon, a son, Alan Farmer, a brother, Robert Bahr, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
