Debra L. Anderson, 50, of Hanover died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born Oct. 11, 1956, in Rushville, the daughter of Clifford and Helen Pence Messer. She lived in Rush County until 1994, when she moved to Hanover. She was a 1974 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and a 1978 graduate of Franklin College. She had worked as a clerk at the Madison Wal-Mart for 12 years before retiring in 2000. She was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church in Madison.

She is survived by her husband, Roger L. Anderson, whom she married Dec. 18, 1982; her father, of Rushville; one stepdaughter and her husband, Melanie and Ron Jarman of Rushville; five brothers, Ron Messer of Florida and Don Messer, Wayne Messer, Tim Messer and Billy Messer, all of Rushville; three sisters, Beverly Ellis and her husband, John, of Bedford, Ky., Patricia Ray of North Vernon and Brenda Messer of Hanover; and one stepgranddaughter.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Moster & Cox Mortuary, 334 N. Main, Rushville. Burial will be in the Little Blue River Weselyan Cemetery in Rush County.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Wesleyan Church and from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
