The first wife of Ebenezer Boynton, Sarah Wheeler, daughter of Nathan and Rebecca (Stafford) Wheeler of Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts, was born there 4 July 1692. She is called Sarah "Boyntons" in her father's will. Ebenezer Boynton and Sarah Wheeler were married in Newbury 25 May 1711 Six children were born to them in Rowley, and a seventh, Sarah, was baptized in the church at Weston 26 June 1726 "a few days old"'. Sarah died in Weston, Middlesex, Massachusetts in February 1727/28 and he married 2nd Abigail Chadwick in Weston, Middlesex, Massachusetts 1728; and they were dismissed to the church in Waltham, Middlesex, Massachusetts 30 November 1768
