Clyde Elmo Cushman

Clyde Cushman, who was born in Chrome on July 9, 1907, died Jan. 25 at an Oroville hospital. He was 88.
He was a sheep shearer, former ranch owner and mill worker by trade. He loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Cushman was a member of the Elk Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Oldenberg Cushman of Chrome; sons Jack Cushman of Chrome and William Cushman of Oregon; brother Howard Cushman of American Canyon, Calif.; sister Ethel Baker of Willows; and five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Following an earlier cremation, a graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Millsap Cemetery at Chrome at 10 a.m. The Rev. Allen Tow of Elk Creek will officiate. Transcribed by M.
