SHERMAN JASPER ABBETT, 80, Iberia, died Tuesday at the Columbia Regional Hospital, Columbia, Mo. He was born March 19,1900, in Miller County, a son of Theodore and Lena Nallie Abbett. He was married Nov. 13,1922, to Effie Irene Burks, who survives. He was a retired carpenter and a life long resident of Miller County. Other survivors include; three sons, Earcy Abbett, Eldon, and Donald Abbett and Kenneth Abbett, both of Tuscumbia, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita Wilson, Jefferson City; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Stevinson- Mossman Funeral Home of Iberia, with the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Tuscumbia.
