Ervin Barnhurst
Ervin Vere "Barney" Barnhurst, 78, died Monday in a local care center.
He was born July 7, 1921, in Hatch, Utah. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a bar manager, a 50-year resident of North Las Vegas and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff of xxxx and Cal McGrath of xxxxx; daughter, Joyce McDonough of xxxx; sisters, Ruth Wilson of xxxx, Merle Wood and Ann Rives, both of xxxx, and Beth Weideman of xxxx; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary with services at 2 p.m. Friday in the Civic Center and Tonopah chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will follow in Bunkers Eden Vale Memorial Park.
