Civil War Veteran of the second ohio volunteers.
John Anthony was a 'Squire/Magistrate for 27-36 years from 1869 to 1870 - abt 1890 to 1892. Constable from about 1860-1866. He was for a time acting police judge. In August 1894, ex-squire was appointed inspector for the improvement of streets on the Board of Administration.
