Lavaun Jean Burch, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on February 2nd. She was born September 7th, 1924 to Jesse Alexander Duncan and Nancy Katherine (Garret) Duncan. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Burch, who she married October 12th, 1951. She is survived by her children Patricia (Dennis) Bockus, Barbara (Chuck) Bryant, Jeff (Joyce) Burch, Jerry (Kelley) Burch, and her 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Cheryl and Michael Bockus, James Bryant, and Jeremy and Brittany Burch, as well as 4 great-grandchildren. She was most happy in her genealogical pursuits and was active in the Huguenots, the DAR, and the Pioneers of America. After her retirement from PNB in 1982 she traveled the world researching ancestors and enjoying the sights. She loved gardening, walking, working on puzzles and games, and spending time with her family. She was also active in the Life Center Church. A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home on February 6th at 1:00 PM with a burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
