He was born April 13, 1952 in Newport to the late Walter and Peggy (Sharar) Barrick.
He formerly was employed by Cromleigh Bros., Duncannon, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Cassandra Hammon Barrick; a son, Daniel L. Jr. of Duncannon; a daughter, Katelyn M. Barrick, at home; a stepdaughter, Natalie J. Morrison of Newport; a sister , Deborah J. Lukens of Duncannon RR 4; three brothers, James W. of Duncannon, Charles R. of Gardners and Ricky K.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 19 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. Dale Rosenberger officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.
