A. Bird, 67, a resident of Denton for the past five years, died suddenly at his home, 1620 West Sycamore Street, early Saturday morning. Paralysis and heart failure were given as causes of death. Bird suffered a stroke of paralysis over a year ago, but had partially recovered and his death was entirely unexpected. Surviving are his wife, one son, Rowe, two daughters, Miss Earle and Mrs. B.F. Hogan, all of whom were present when death came; one brother, C.H. Bird of Fort Davis, and a sister, Mrs. Austin Alberts of Rotan. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 10 o'clock Sunday morning, with Rev. W.C. McClung in charge. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in charge of Stanfield Lodge AF & AM, of which he was a member.
