Veteran of Confederate States Army and member of the Robert E Lee Camp #158. Enlisted in April 1861 in Palmyra, Virginia. Served as a Private, Company C, 14th Virignia Infantry Regiment. Armistead's Brigade. Present at the surrender. Participated in the battle of Seven Pines & others. Wounded at Sharpsburg and Gettysburg.
