TELL CITY, Ind. -- Marie K. Hoesli, 96, passed away at 7:08 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City.
Marie was born Nov. 30, 1908, in Perry County, Ind., the daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Cassidy) Kluesner. She married Clarence E. Hoesli on Jan. 25, 1927, in Tell City. Clarence passed away in 1991. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Diane Hoesli in 1953, and Marilyn Heckel in 1994; three sons, James in 1979, Robert in 1991, and Patrick in 1993; and a grandson, Randy Hoesli. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Oma Goffinet, Clara Schaefer and Zita Hall; and seven brothers, Andrew, Frank, Edward, Jesse, Hilary, Nick and John Kluesner.
Marie retired in 1969 from General Electric in Tell City, where she was an inspector for 23 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, St. Ann Sodality and Daughters of Isabella Nativity Circle No. 710. Marie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and, especially, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
