Jeremiah Bull Lambert's headstone reads, "J.B. Lambert born October 29, 1814 died October 26, 1880 ("Father" on flat stone)" A cast iron monument was erected in 1882. His parents were Edward Allyn Lambert & Anne Bull of Milford, New Haven Co., CT. His grandparents were Pvt. David Lambert (U.S. Revolutionary War)and Martha Northrop also of Milford, CT. Jeremiah married Lois Goodyear (g-g-g-granddaughter of Deputy-Gov Stephen Goodyear of New Haven, CT) on 26 Oct 1834 in Hamden, New Haven Co., CT. According to New Haven historian, Edward Rodolphus Lambert, "in the spring of 1837 they moved to Talmadge, Ohio." (Bath may have been part of the Tallmadge Twp, Summit Co., Ohio at that time.) They settled in Bath Twp., Summit Co., Ohio and lived out their lives there. He died in 1880 at age 66 and she died in 1888 at age 76. Both are burried in Bath Center Cemetery. Jeremiah's mother, Anna (Bull) Lambert, is also burried here. Jeremiah and Lois had two children, Sydney Smith Lambert and Sarah Goodyear Lambert, and 4 grandchildren. Daughter, Sarah married Andrew H. Brock and had 2 sons. Her son, Charles Henry Brock and his wife, Emma Lou Houston, had 4 children. Their daughter, Lois Teressa Brock, lived in Wadsworth, Medina Co., Ohio. She married Alvin Herbert Young and raised the next two generations there in Wadsworth. Alvin and Lois Young were my paternal grandparents; both are now departed. They would be glad that today we are finding and getting reacquainted with the family they so dearly missed.
