A native of Spring Lake, N.C., Mrs. Overcash was a daughter of Grace Smith Wall Kirksey of Dallas, N.C., and the late Eddie Wall. She was the owner and operator of Pat's Ceramics.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, John P. Overcash of York; three sons, Gary Brown of York, Dean Overcash of Matthews, N.C., and John "Ed" Overcash of Fort Mill; her daughter, Wanda Reeder of Charlotte; five brothers, James Wall of Cherryville, N.C., Steve Wall of Hillsborough, N.C., Charles Wall of Andrews, N.C., David Wall of Dallas, N.C., and Ricky Wall of Gastonia; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepfather, David Kirksey; a son, Larry Dean Brown; and two daughters, Debbie Nichols and Melinda Brown.
