Ida Laurina Anderson was born on August 30, 1887, in Marshall Township near Adams, the daughter of Nils and Ingeri Anderson.
She was baptized into the family of God on September 18, 1887 by Pastor Eggen of Little Cedar.
Ida attended McKinley School in Marshall Township.
She was confirmed at Little Cedar Church by Pastor Rasmussen on April 27, 1902.
Ida graduated from Southern Minnesota Normal School at Austin in 1903.
Ida was deeply interested in music and the Church. She had studied music at the Normal School and for many years gave piano lessons.
Her teaching career covered many decades. Some of the fine young high school organists who have served Little Cedar in recent years had Ida as their first organ teacher.
Ida became the organist at Little Cedar in 1909. She held this position until 1948. During those 39 years, she was also organist at Marshall Church from 1922 until 1948. For a number of years she was also organist at West Leroy.
Besides serving her church as organist Ida was also active in the church in other ways. She helped organize the Little Cedar Luther League and was its first secretary. She was very active in W.M.F. and A.L.C.W. and Circle for many years.
In fact, Ida was at Circle on Monday afternoon when she was taken ill with a stroke. She was taken to St. Mary's Hospital where she died on Wednesday morning. She lived 82 years and 4 months. Those years were years of dedicated service to her God and her fellow men.
Ida is survived by her sisters; Amanda, Mrs. B.J. Huseby; and Cora Mae, Mrs. E.S. Anderson, by nieces and nephews and by a great host of friends.

Funeral services for Ida were held January 9, 1970 at Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Rev. Quibell officiating. Pallbearers were Aaron, Byron, Allen and Brian Huseby and Arvid and Arden Neus. Interment was in Little Cedar Cemetery.
