Funeral Services To Be Held Thursday From Richards Funeral Home
Edmund M. Fisher, a long-time resident of Madison county, died at his home in Winterset Tuesday after several weeks of failing health. He was 85 years of age.
Mr. Fisher was born south of Van Meter, April 22, 1865, a son of George and Phoebe Fisher. He was married in 1900 to Etta Moore. Their active years were spent in farming. They lived near Linden and near Dexter and spent seven years in the state of Washington.
For 17 years they lived a mile south of Winterset, retiring and moving into town here about nine years ago.
Mr. Fisher was a long-time member of the Methodist church. He is survived by his wife; a sister, Mrs. Belle Rigdon of Delta, Colo.; and two brothers, Owen Fisher of Eagleville, Mo., and Frank Fisher of Jackson, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this Thursday from the Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Van Meter cemetery.
