Elmer married Nellie Sophia Larson on July 15, 1915.
They were the parents of three children: Evelyn Irene, Dorothy Louise, and George Curtis.

Elmer Lewis, 79, of Clearbrook, a former Clerk of Court of Clearwater County died at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital Wednesday. At press time no arrangements had been made for funeral. A complete obituary will be printed next week.
A resident of Bagley until 1929, Mr. Lewis has made his home at Clearbrook since that time. He was a long time member of the county draft board dating from WWI, resigning just recently.
He is survived by two children: Dorothy (Mrs. Earl Larson) of Bemidji, and George Lewis of Minneapolis.
Mrs. Lewis died in May of 1966.
Funeral services for Mr. Lewis will be held Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Clearbrook with Rev. R. Larson officiating. Burial will be made in the Silver Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
