Harold Edward Wilson was born 12 February 1898 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut to Edward E. Wilson and Mayme Clarabelle Sizer. He married Irene Charlotte Southwick on 9 April 1921 in Hartford. Harold was a civil engineer for the Water Company that became the Metropolitan Water District in Hartford, retiring after 44 years. He played the violin and was leader of Wilson's Jazz Orchestra. Harold recalled stories of the clubs and speakeasies that his band played in the Greater Hartford area. During the 1920's, he rode an Indian Motorcycle. Later in life, He loved to put on a suit and meet friends for a few beers at Frank's Restaurant in Hartford. Harold lived in his own apartment until he was 90 years old.
