Services for Mrs. Donnie Inzina Johnston, 61, of Monroe, will be 2 PM, Friday, December 22, 2006, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, with Rev. Sebastian Kallarackal officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Johnston, a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, was born October 12, 1945, in Monroe, LA and died December 18, 2006, in Monroe, LA. A fifth grade teacher at Cypress Point Elementary School, she had been a teacher for 37 years. She taught at Carencro, Our Lady of Fatima, Bastrop, Barkdull Faulk Elementary and Cypress Point. She was a very active worker for the American Federation of Teachers. While teaching at Our Lady of Fatima, she was head of the 4H program. She sang in the church choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She also was a member of the Sweet Adelines singing group.

She was preceded in death by her father, Philip Andrew Inzina and infant brother, Philip Wesley Inzina.

Mrs. Johnston is survived by her husband, Mark H. Johnston; son, Mark A. Johnston and wife Jennifer Hart Johnston of Farmerville; daughter, Stephanie Braquet of Shepherd Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, TX; mother, Audrey Inzina of Monroe; sisters, Ginger Brown, Susie Vredenburg, Kay Kneipp, and Mary Jo White; brothers, Rev. Joseph Robert "Bob" Inzina and James Michael Inzina; grandchildren, Elise and Sophie Ann Johnston; brother-in-law, Carl and wife Sue Johnston; sister-in-law, Chris Blevin and husband Lee; numerous nieces and nephews; and her very best friend, Sandie Lollie.

Pallbearers will be David Laws, Danny White, Steve White, Harvey Hanson, Jessie LaPietra, and Billy Justice.
