Frank Steven Barkocy III died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006. He was born to Frank and Yoshiko Barkocy on Oct. 18, 1964, in Tachikawa, Japan.
Steve graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1982 and attended Okaloosa Walton Junior College. He worked for the Lewis Bear Company for 10 years and most recently at Hunnicutt Insurance.
Steve was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and the Florida Gators. He was a member of the All Sports Association of Fort Walton Beach.
Steve is survived by his loving parents; his wife, Ashley Hunnicutt Barkocy; and their two daughters, Macy Shae and Sydney Evelyn; his sister Elizabeth Mall and her husband, William; their daughter, Madison and many dear friends.
Steve loved being a father. He always had a warm smile and a kind word for everyone. He will be remembered for his sincerity, loyalty, generosity and thoughtfulness.
Please join the family for a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at First United Methodist Church of Fort Walton Beach, 103 SE First Street, Fort Walton Beach.
Prior to the commencement of the service, a time of visitation will begin at noon. Private family interment will take place at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach.
The family will receive guests at a reception at Staff 's Seafood Restaurant, 24 SE Miracle Strip Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, immediately after the service.
