LaVerne (Lovey) Bowen, 68, of Everett, died January 10, 1984, at home. She was born March 7, 1915, in Douglas, North Dakota. She had lived in Everett since 1937. She was a member of the Central Lutheran Church of Everett, the Central Lutheran Christian Women and the Ruth Circle. She had worked with the election polls for 20 years.
She leaves her beloved son, Michael Bowen of Tacoma; beloved daughter, Gayle Watts of Alkhobar, Saudi Arabia; two grandchildren, Martin and Mary; one step-grandson, Matthew, two brothers, Lyle Larson of Puyallup and Glen Larson of Douglas, North Dakota.; and sister, Bernice Snowbeck of Blair, Nebraska.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Central Lutheran Church. The Rev. Chris Boerger and the Rev. Mark Samuelson will officiate. Private entombment will be at Evergreen
