Services were at 2:30pm Monday in the Free Will Baptist Church of Allen for Mrs. Mary Isabelle Adams, longtime Allen resident, who did at 11:10pm Friday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Sime Spain, with whom she made her home. Her death climaxed an extended illness.
Mr. FM Wood, Ada, assisted by Mr. Bob Gilean, pastor, officiated. Bearers were Herbert Long, Clayton Tate, Presley Snow, Le Roy Jones, Cecil Huckeby, and Bennie Prentice. Burial was in Allen Cemetery, with Hudson Funeral Home of Holdenville in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Adams was born in Caney County, Mo, Sept 20, 1875, to JB and Caroline Farmer Cook. Her husband was the late Calvin Adams. She had lived in and around Allen for 55 years. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Adams leaves two sons, JL and Ives; two daughters, Mrs. Lora Dobbs, and Mrs. Venia Yandell; a sister Mrs. Sime Spain; two brothers Bert and Fate Cook; 10 grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren.
