She was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Eck Herring.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Lower Marsh Creek Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. Along with her husband she was sexton at the church for 28 years.
Her husband Clair Adams departed this life in 1995 and she is survived by three children: Nancy L. Adams of Gettysburg, Joyce E. Adams of Gettysburg and Gary E. Adams of Gettysburg; two sisters, Emma Myers of Fairfield, Theresa Rohrbaugh of Waynesboro; a number of nieces and nephews; and two young friends, Mackenzie Truan and Halen Bolin.
