She was also preceded, in death by her infant brother Paul and her husband, William E. Banker of W. Carrollton. Dorothy retired in 1971 after teaching Elementary School for 40 years. She taught 14 years at the E.J. Brown School in Dayton, 3 years at the W. Carrollton City Schools and 23 years at the C.F. Holliday Elementary School in Moraine. Although Dorothy had no children of her own, she cherished and nurtured each of her students as if they were her very own. Dorothy was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in W. Carrollton for 90 years. After she retired she lived in Pt. St. Lucie, FL for 30 years and returned to Miamisburg 5 years ago.
Dorothy is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
