Obituary appeared in "The Montgomery Ledger, Pottstown PA", Tuesday, December 9, 1902:
SAVAGE-In Talladega, Ala, on Dec. 4th, Charlotte K Savage, widow of George W Savage, [East Coventry] aged 76 years.

And in the same newspaper on December 16, 1902:

The body of Mrs. Charlotte K. Savage, who died at Talladega, Ala., on Thursday, reached Pottstown on Saturday evening, via the Pennsylvania Railroad. Her remains were accompanied by her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. D.S. Lightcap, and the funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, from her late residence, No 541 North Charlotte Street. All services at the house and burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery. She was a sister to Raymond Moore, of Birdsoro; Mrs. Mary Lacey, of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Harriet, widow of Thomas Francis, Pottstown. She was the mother of Wm. Savage, of Lawrence, Kan.; Mrs. D.S. Lightcap, of Talladega, Ala., and the late Mrs. Clara Landis, of this borough. She leaves four grandchildren - Maud Savage, of Lawrence, Kan.; Edgar S Lightcap, of Talladega, Ala., and Walter S and Lottie Landis, this borough. Mrs. Savage went south expecting to spend the winter with her daughter, but passed away after a stay of only three weeks at Talladega.
Mr. Lightcap has not been in Pottstown for twenty years, although born and reared here. He is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lightcap. He learned the trade of machinist and twenty years ago emigrated with his wife to Kansas, but in a short time he moved to Alabama. He became interested in dental surgery and mastered it, opening a dental office in Talladega, where he was won a fine and lucrative practice. His brother, Samuel, also a Pottstown boy, is located in the same profession in Mobile, Ala.


George Washington SAVAGE, her husband, died 1/12/1856 and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Parkerford, Chester County with his parents Zenas and Rebecca (March) SAVAGE. She was the daughter of Elias N MOHR and Mary Bertolet KERST of Union Twp, Berks Co PA. She lived in Pottstown on Charlotte Street and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pottstown.

Her daughter Clara SAVAGE LANDIS and husband Daniel W LANDIS are buried with her in Landis-Savage plot.

George W SAVAGE and Charlotte K MOHR are my gr2grandparents. Daniel W LANDIS and Clara (SAVAGE) LANDIS are my grgrandparents.
