He was the son of Louis Hudson and Lula Patterson Adams. He grew up and attended schools in the Yorkville area. He later served in the United States Army for two years. He married Shirley Coy on Oct. 6, 1958, in Phoenix. He worked as an auto mechanic for several years for various companies in Arizona. He had lived off and on in the McAlester area over the years and had just recently returned about a month ago. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Adams, of the home; four daughters and a son-in-law, Selma Turpin, of McAlester, Edith Jackson, Booneville, Ark., Shirley Bolien, Prescott, Ariz., and Sylvia and Richard Santine, of Kiowa; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Douglas Adams, of Alaska, and Shelby and Jimmye Adams, Meeker, Colo. Also, a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Sam Williams, El Mirage, Ariz.; 20 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Lula Adams, and a daughter, Frances Adams. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Red Oak Cemetery Pavilion in Bache with James Coy officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
