A sad death occurred near Crystal Springs on Sunday morning. Sometime in December last a young man by the name of Lackey was bitten by a supposed rabid dog, but suffered no inconvenience therefrom until on Friday last he was taken with hydrophobia while teaching school at Beauregard. He was carried home on Saturday evening and died on Sunday morning, about 24 hours after being taken sick.
