Shirley (Lile) Bittle, 78, of Wichita Falls, passed into the arms of God on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, with the Rev. Howard Chapman, pastor of Senior Adults, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A daughter of the late James Arthur and Wilna Margaret (Rogers) Lile, she was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Frederick, Okla. Mrs. Bittle worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for over 40 years. She was a longtime, faithful member of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls. Her gift was giving to others. She was a devoted donor to many Christian organizations. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tommy Bittle; her sister, Erdene Philips; her brother, Paul Lile; her husbands, John Reisinger and Tom Bittle; her great-grandson, Gabriel Cole Wilson; and by her grandson, Adam John Wilson.

Survivors include her children, Joyce Bailey of San Antonio. Patty Sue Hulsey and husband Jeff of North Richland Hills, Texas, Johnnie Margaret Pichoff of Wichita Falls; daughter-in-law, Teresa Bittle of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Arthur M. Lile; niece, Jerry Lile; grandchildren, Vanessa, Heather, Amanda, Brian, James, Elizabeth, Jessica and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Raina, Lexie, Trevor, Matthew, Makayla, Kyle, Rachel and "Emma" (on the way); also numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
