Florence M. (Shuler) Anderson was born on Sunday; August 7, 1910 in rural Tama; Tama County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Casper and Mary Brotz Shuler. On Sunday; December 29, 1929 she married Oscar R. Anderson at the Methodist Parsonage in Tama. Florence was a homemaker and farm wife and cared deeply for her family, home, and farm. She was a member of Living Faith United Methodist Church, UMW, Farm Bureau Women, and the Highland Ladies Club. Florence enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Florence and Oscar were fortunate to spend twenty-five years wintering in Texas and Florida. Florence M. (Shuler) Anderson, 95, a resident of Grandview Acres Care Center in Toledo, formerly of Tama passed away on Thursday; July 20, 2006, at the center due to a lengthy illness. Those left to mourn her passing are her two daughters Mary Schultz of Toledo, and Dorothy Graff of Tama; twelve grandchildren; forteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a brother Clifford (Joan) Shuler of Toledo; and many nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar in 1998, a son Edward in 1996, two son-in-laws Hank Schultz and Lyle Graff, and a great-granddaughter Claire Wedmore. Visitation will be held on Friday; July 21, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday; July 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home in Tama with Pastor LaVerne Seth officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in rural Tama; Tama County, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established.
